Today was a very quiet day again here in Houston although I must say 96 degrees and 90+ percent humidity brings a new meaning to the phrase hot and muggy. It was a pretty quiet day for Kristen, she received platelets again today, and once again had an issue with her blood pressure. Great news from the doctors this morning, if all continues to go well, they are talking about letting her go either Wednesday or Thursday. We are obviously hoping for Wednesday. Her white counts were up to 1.8 today, so almost to 2; 2.2 is the floor for being
neutropenic. Anything over that and you have a better chance to fight off any bugs.
It was kind of cute today, you could tell the nurses knew she was slated to go home because as they left their shifts they would poke their head in and say "you can come back to visit but we don't want to see you otherwise."
Jill had a good flight down, and I'll be headed home in the morning so I'll turn the blog duties back over to her.
Please continue to pray for a successful engraftment, and give praise to the thought that Kristen could be back to the apartment sometime this week along with praise for the medical staff.
