Kristen is ecstatic. She finally found a pair of shoes that she couldn't live without. AND they were on sale. A $90 pair of shoes for $30! She reports that it's the second best thing that has happened to her this week. (First best was the chimera.) I was able to get a lot more walking out of her this morning. Shopping doesn't seem like walking to her. She only stopped to sit down a couple of times. After the sale at Dillard's (by the way, she says the sale ends tomorrow), we ran a few more errands and were back home a little after lunchtime. We felt very accomplished. We've found that when shops first open is the best time to shop. There are usually only a handful of people shopping. I started her IV before we left. The canister is easy to slip in her purse. We can tell about how long it will run and take along the items necessary to finish off. People around the Medical Center area are used to seeing people walking around with tubes hanging out of their shirts or sleeves. It's rained a lot here in Houston today. So that means the humidity combined with the heat make it uncomfortable when we go outside.
Thanks to everyone who has sent a card. Part of Kristen's "exercise" routine is to go down and get our mail. It's nice to have more than junk mail.
