We've had a good weekend. I've enjoyed sleeping in a little. Kristen and I have taken advantage of the fitness center downstairs. We pick odd times to go so that we aren't exposed to a bunch of people in a small area. Kristen's gotten very good at not touching things. I open all doors and we carry Purell everywhere with us. On Saturday Kristen wanted to check out some of the second hand stores that we have passed by on other explorations. She enjoyed digging and even found some designer jeans for $20. What a steal! Sunday we went to see 500 Days of Summer with our friend Barbara and a friend of hers Taylor. We really enjoyed it. Movies are kind of becoming our new hobby (besides shopping)! Later Kristen was dying to eat at the 59 Diner. What a relief it has been that we don't have to prepare everything at home. She was dying for some great chicken fried chicken. The diner makes everything from scratch and it is delicious. We keep eating out to a minimum and pick places carefully.
Another hobby we've picked up is checking out cars in the parking garage. We see lots of the usual but also have seen an Austin Martin, a Lotus and recently a Rolls Royce. We want to stake out the garage to see who it belongs to. With our proximity to the Texans training facility and the fact that training camps are in progress, we've decided it's one of the players. Who knows. Speculating is definitely entertaining!
We are enjoying our time together. I am still thankful for this chance to get to know each other better as people. We look at this time as a gift. Praise God for this blessing. Also, please pray for Steven as we approach the beginning of the school year. With all that is going on in the life of our family, let us not miss any of his needs during this time.
