Day +100

Today is day 100. We are so grateful that Kristen was released early. We've enjoyed being home that past 22 days. Kristen continues to improve and she looks great. We continue to adjust to living under the same roof. Kristen says that Devin and I need to stop smothering her. We both jump if she trips. Ask if she's okay if she sneezes or coughs. And we are constantly trying to feed her something or encourage her to drink something. Kristen on the other hand tries to remember that she needs to be careful. But, she is 20 and wants to run around and hang out with her friends. Over the weekend she put a deposit down on an apartment. She is really looking forward to having some independence again. Friday she got the official letter of acceptance from the University of Arkansas. In her heart she is still a Jayhawk though. Transferring here was her decision. She felt that she needed to stay here since she needed to be in regular contact with her doctor here and in Houston. So we are slowly moving forward. We have been blessed through this experience.
