Day +59

Today brought another changing of the guard. Jill made it to the airport and had an uneventful flight home. I'm sure Steven and the cats were glad to have her back home. Kristen and I made it up to the clinic for her 8 o'clock appointment. Monday is a very busy day in the clinic as it seems like most people have labs on Monday's. Kristen's counts continue to recover slowly, today her white counts were 4.5 normal is 4-11, platelets were 54 normal is 140-440, and hemoglobin was 10.6 normal is 12-16. We pray that these will continue to recover over the coming weeks. We only met with the physicians assistant (PA) today and will meet with her transplant doctor on Thursday. He should have all the bone marrow biopsy results by then. We received preliminary results last week that showed her blast cells at 2% which is good, but we are waiting on the chimara results to tell us how much of the donor's cells are in her marrow and we want this to be 100%. The PA indicated that if all goes well that Kristen could potentially move to one doctor's visit a week and just lab work twice a week as we move into the last 30 days.

Hope all is well, and please continue to pray for improvements in Kristen's blood count as we move through the next few weeks.
