Day 25

No Kristen is not back at the apartment. Out of the 31 days we've been here in Houston she has been in the hospital all but 3.5! Her main obstacle to going home is her weak lungs. The doctor said that her lungs sounded clear though. She just needs to get them working for her. Kristen is just exhausted. She sleeps a lot of the time I'm with her during the day. Getting up to go to the bathroom takes more energy than she has to expend. Her appetite is way off. I get her to eat a little at least 3 times a day. I also get her to sit in the chair for a portion of the day. So she is still on the O2 although they were able to turn it down some. She still is getting breathing treatments every 6 hours. She's pretty much tethered to the wall with the monitor and oxygen. So she is not able to try to walk around. We are really going to have to work on regaining strength.

Please pray for her breathing to improve. Pray that her energy would return. Give praise once again for our great nursing staff. They are awesome. Give praise that the nurses had a slower day because many of the patients got to go home!

Finally, always pray that this rough time will result in Kristen's defeat of her Leukemia.
