8:30 a.m.

We have not yet seen Kristen this morning. After talking to the night shift nurse we realized there was nothing we could do and she was not aware that we were there. Since we have been blessed with an apartment so close to the hospital we both came back to get some sleep. We double (and triple) checked that the chart had our phone numbers in it should some change happen. So we will go up this morning knowing that we are well rested and able to "be there" for Kristen.

Everytime I'm here at MD Anderson, I bring along my copy of The Red Sea Rules: The Same God who led you in will Lead you out. The end of the preface says this:
"No sea is deeper than the ocean of HIS love. there is no army stronger than HIS hosts, no force greater than HIS throne of grace, no enemy who can overcome HIS direct and indirect work in our lives.
The reality of the Red Sea, in a word, is this: God will always make a way for HIS tired, yet trusting, children, even if HE must split the sea to do it."
Reading this has me praying specifically for God to make a way thru this for Kristen.
