Day 21

I'm not much in a blogging mood this evening so forgive me for keeping it short. We had somewhat of a rough start to the night. Kristen was coughing so hard that she threw up. She also had a headache of all headaches. And on top of all these her blood pressure was really up. She took some pain med but it didn't even begin to ease the headache. She finally ended up taking some anti nausea medicine and a different pain med and was able to get some sleep. They are now giving her breathing treatments every 6 hours instead of four. Her lungs are clearing up some and we hope we are through the worst. They haven't been able to move her to less O2 yet. She has slept at least 80-90% of the day. Her blood pressure has improved but is not quite back to a normal for her. She did have to get platelets again today but her white count moved back up. So it's been a day full of small improvements.

Please continue to pray for her to be free of this flu. For her blood pressure to return to normal. For her to begin to want to eat again. (Still having a bit of a problem with the increase in weight due to water retention. They assure us that this should work itself out. They did reduce the fluid they were pumping into her so that should help some.) Also please pray for us to be upbeat and positive. Today we had something that got us a bit down. Pray we can move past this and work on the job of getting Kristen better.
