Bring the Rain

My Dove chocolate the other day said "blessings come to those who notice." If you take the time to think about it you will realize that we have all been richly blessed. Even if you are in the midst of the worst time of your life, it is a blessing. Any trial that brings you to a closer relationship with God is a blessing. Yesterday I heard (or noticed) the song Bring the Rain by Mercy Me. The artist told about the background of the song. And he said that he had a time in his life when he didn't know how it could be any worse. He didn't see a way out. His relationship with our Creator grew from this time of hardship. The past 3 weeks have been some of the worst ever for our family. Not only have we been preparing for transplant but we have had 2 of 4 vehicles in accidents. One gone for good. But, we had 4 vehicles! Some people don't have any transportation! Most importantly no one was hurt! What a blessing! I see more blessing in my life than anything else. So instead of cursing the rain in your life, stand in the downpour and shout thank you Lord! And then ask Him what you can do to be a blessing to others.
