Thursday's Update

Kristen has been up for most of the day, which is an improvement from yesterday. We went downstairs earlier in the day to get her head shaved. The doctors said she "probably" wouldn't loose her hair this time around due to the type of chemo they used, but apparently she was more sensitive than expected which I guess is a good thing. Her neck is feeling a little better today, and they did confirm a blood clot in her upper arm from her elbow to her armpit where her PICC line was. They would typically treat it with blood thinners but since her platelets are so low they will monitor it for now. Once her platelets come up they will decide what to do. Dr. Kadia thought she would be able to get out of the hospital by the weekend if all continues to go well. She hasn't had a fever for the past two days.

She is currently down getting an ultra-sound on her lower back where the hematoma is. It doesn't seem to be improving so we're not sure what the plan for that is. She limps around like an old lady. (no offense) Kristen has a very high tolerance for pain, so it must really hurt, hopefully it will improve in the coming days.

Thank you all for your cards, thoughts and prayers. Please continue to pray for her continued recovery, and for remission.

Devin.
