Day 77

Apologies for falling down on the job yesterday, it was a pretty quiet day, we had the survivor class at the hospital with three other transplant patients, and then Kristen had her line out. The survivor class was a rerun for Kristen, not much had changed since she went through it last year. They go over all the do's and don'ts, review what graft vs. host looks like, can how it can become a much bigger issue if you don't pay attention to it and get treatment right away. Of the three others in class, two were parents and then an older gentleman. Oddly enough, there was a couple with the last name of Graham, they were from Ecuador, he looked to be in his mid to late thirties and had two young children at home. I thought to myself how difficult it must have been for he and his wife to go through this with two children at home. After a pretty good wait at the CVC clinic, they pulled Kristen's line and sent us on our way.

Today was a quiet day around the apartment, Kristen didn't feel too well today, her stomach has been bothering her. It seems to be a little worse after she eats. She took some ABH this afternoon and then a pretty good nap. After that she felt a better and was able to eat a pretty good dinner.

We still hope to start home next Monday, she has a review with the pulmonary doctors on Friday and they are still trying to get her scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy.

Please continue to keep Kristen in your prayers and that everything will go well these last few days here. Please also say a prayer for the others in the class that will begin a new chapter in their lives. Pray that Kristen's stomach issues will pass and that everything comes together allowing for her to return home next week.

Take care,

Devin.
