Around Every Corner is an Opportunity

Kristen and I had a wonderful opportunity today to witness what God has done for us this past year and 3 months. We had to go to The Cheesecake Factory, Kristen was craving some Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake. Not to mention she was having mall withdrawal. We had finished our meal when a couple of ladies were seated next to us. I can't even remember how the conversation started. I think they were commenting on the fact that they had eaten there for the past 3 days. It seems they were here from California to attend a taping of a Beth Moore study. They had been staying in the Westin attached to the Galleria. We got to talking about the area and they asked where we were from and what brought us to Houston. We mentioned that we were here for medical treatment. They asked questions and Kristen told them her experience. It was so wonderful to be able to share what this time has done for us spiritually. They asked for Kristen's name and said they would pray for her. This just serves to remind me that opportunities to share your faith are around every corner. We can keep to ourselves or we can speak up. I think that when the appropriate opportunity arises God wants us to speak up. You never know the effect your words may have. It also reminds me that there is a huge body of faith out there. God has to be so pleased when the members of the body connect. (And I have to say I am so jealous that they were at one of Beth Moore's tapings. That had to be so awesome! She was redoing her David study. I'm going to have to do that one and look for them in the audience!)
