Well, it's me - Devin.
Jill and I traded out today so she could get back home, spend some time with Steven and decompress a little, and so I could spend some time with Kristen. The swap was facilitated by our good friends from Tulsa, we took their Bonanza down and back direct from Springdale. That cut about 7 hours off a drive, or 4 hours off of Southwest Airlines out of Tulsa. A big heart felt thank you!
It was an early day for Kristen, they had labs this morning at 6:45, then a review which called for platelets. Her hemoglobin was only 8.2 but above 8 so she didn't need any whole blood. The expectation is that we'll need some on Monday, but we'll see. Her white counts were up to 0.5 from zero, so that was an improvement. It's been a little over a week since I've seen her, she certainly looked tired but still has that twinkle in her eye.
We don't have many plans for the weekend, the weather here is suppose to be a little rainy but there is basketball on with both KU and KSU playing tomorrow so we'll throw a little watch party here in the apartment and see what kind of good food we can feed her.
Please continue to pray for:
1) Remission
2) Continued strength for Kristen
3) Wisdom of the doctors for her treatment plan
That's it for now, take care!
Devin.
