Kristen started her chemotherapy late last night. So far she is feeling okay. One of the drugs made her feel achy all over so she had to take a couple of pain meds. She also felt a little nauseous so had some phenegren which knocked her out. Today as you can see from the picture, has been uneventful. She continues to feel okay and is able to eat. They gave her some prednisone with one of her chemo meds and I think that stimulated her appetite some. We've encouraged her to eat well while she feels good. She may not feel so hot in a day or two. From her room she has a great view of Texas Children's and St. Luke's along with their helicopter pad. We would love to see a copter land but don't like what that would mean for another family. Kristen has had some nice caregivers here so far; Erlinda, Eduardo, Lauren and Carolyn. I think Erlinda and Eduardo will be back tonight. Oh, and I forgot to tell you yesterday, that Dr. Kadia said that these chemo meds will probably NOT make her hair fall out. Sweet! And Kristen is getting me addicted to a new tv show, Rescue Ink. They work on 'educating' animal abusers. Our spirits are good today. Of course that's easy to say when Kristen isn't experiencing bad side effects yet.
