Not much to report for the weekend. I administered Kristen's IV both Saturday and Sunday here in the apartment. So much nicer than spending half a day in the clinic. We had afternoon outings both Saturday and Sunday. It really challenges Kristen's stamina to go for very long. She picked out some tops for me on Saturday and we picked up some groceries on Sunday. Kristen wears a mask for the outings and I don't allow her to touch anything. We keep the Purell handy too.
Today we had a 7 a.m. lab appointment. It would've been great to get done early, but the infusion center was slow. She didn't even get her infusion started until 8:40. That meant it was close to 1 p.m. before we finished and then had to wait another 30-40 minutes to see the doctor. They had to draw more blood because the Lab neglected to run all the tests they are supposed to on Mondays. It's always something. They are lowering her dose of magnesium starting tomorrow. I hope that means it won't take as long to infuse.
Kristen's eyes are feeling better and she seems to be sleeping a little better. She doesn't seem to have as much trouble falling asleep but she says that she wakes up a lot.
We expect Devin later this week. He took Steven to camp at New Life Ranch and I will head home to pick him up next Saturday. It's a quick turn around but it will be a break for Kristen. You can only take so much togetherness! Just kidding! Maybe I should have said that Kristen can only take so much Mom!
