Day +15

I wish I could report that Kristen was feeling tons better but no. Her throat is still very raw and she finds it difficult to swallow even water. She did attempt to eat some mac n cheese and some ice cream. We went to Bingo for a few minutes and Kristen walked some. Towards late afternoon she started developing a headache, earache along with her sore throat. She got some extra pain medicine from the nurse and is conked out for the night already. We were both a little bummed because we were going to go to the 11th floor to see the fireworks at the nearby park. Guess I'll be watching them without her from the apartment. Kristen's white count was down a little today so they gave her another neupogen shot. We thought she was done with these for a while. I guess the doc didn't like how far her white count dropped. She'll probably need some platelets tomorrow as they were only 18. We will see.

Please pray for her throat to continue to heal. A little bit each day. She also has a terrible sore by her CVC line due to an allergic reaction to the tape. When your platelets are low, these don't heal so fast. Also please pray that I can keep my spirits up. Today was pretty lonely knowing that so many people were celebrating with friends and family.
