Day +14

We are definitely working towards going home next week. Kristen is relying less and less on the pain meds for her throat. She still is having trouble eating but she got a few bites of Blue Bell Cookies and Cream. Good stuff! She wasn't quite ready for her favorite hash brown casserole but we will keep trying. They will be taking her off a couple of her IV meds and moving them to oral meds. Nurse Diana also took out the little PICC line (don't know if I'm referring to that correctly) where the were giving her a Nupogen (sp?) shot. She sent me on my way early again so she could get some sleep. She said that worked well last night.

Thanks for praying about the 2 bedroom apartment. We are postponing a move right now. We will wait and see if another comes available later. It would have required moving within days of Kristen coming home from the hospital. Too much stress. I couldn't even think about it without being anxious!
