Bead It!

Kristen only had one appointment today with GYN. They brought out a big needle to give her another Lupron shot to knock her into menopause again. Poor baby. She says it is the night sweats she hates the most. Hot flashes and night sweats should not be concerns of a 20 year old girl. We loved the GYN doc. She was a fun German lady with an awesome sense of humor. Even though we killed over 2 hours waiting for and at the appoinment, we did manage to hit Hobby Lobby. Kristen needed to stock up on beads to keep her busy while in the hospital. I found a nice little case that she could organize them into. She's busy doing that now. I think we have invested a fortune in beads. She's sold a few necklaces but seems to fall in love with them and finds it hard to part with them. So if you want to contribute broken necklaces or old ones that you don't wear anymore Kristen can make something of them.

We had one scary moment today when I went to make a u-turn and moved into the wrong lane and could see oncoming traffic. Our guardian angel was with us though and there was no traffic coming at us. I, of course, felt like an idiot. I did feel better later when I saw someone else almost do the same thing! I'm thinking there needs to be some better signage? We are getting to know our part of Houston pretty well. I always think it is funny when we first go someplace and it takes forever and then on the way back discover that we could have gotten there faster and easier.

Below are some of Kristen's creations.
