9pm Update

Following a rough morning, Kristen had a quiet day. They have kept her sedated due to the respirator. They did another bronchoscopy late this morning but did not take any biopsy as they felt there was too much of a risk of a lung collapse. The pulmonary doctor thought based on the X-Rays that it was a fungal-pneumonia but wouldn't say for 100% - 99.9% was the best I could get from him. He did say it was very aggressive and it seems a new colony pops up every day. We just pray that the medications they have her on will begin to take over. As I mentioned yesterday they were stopping the steroid treatment, so that should help what immune system she has to try and fight it too. She remains peaceful but as you can imagine it is very difficult to see our little girl like this. It looks like they were able to back down the oxygen mixture on the respirator to 60% from 75% where it was after the bronchoscopy.

Both Jill and I are overwhelmed by the texts, thoughts and prayers of all of you. We know we have an army of believers with us, and hope to win this battle soon.

Prayer requests remain the same - healing, wisdom of the medical team, and strength to see this through.

God Bless!

Devin.
