1:30 p.m. Sunday

Silence can speak volumes can't it? Kristen lost her battle last night around 11:30 p.m. We can not tell you what all your prayers have meant to us. We prayed for a miracle. It just came in a different way. The miracle is that she didn't suffer a long drawn out battle. She was a woman filled with youth and vitality. If she couldn't live life to its fullest it wasn't worth living. God knew that she would never be that vital, vibrant young woman again. She fought hard to beat the AML uncomplainingly through two transplants. Now she suffers no more.

Although we are home in Fayetteville, we ask that you leave us today to grieve and rest. We have not made any plans yet for her but will continue to let you know.
One of my favorite verses is Isaiah 61. Jesus comforts those who mourn. He continues to comfort and uphold us.
