Kristen was able to open her eyes for us this morning and gave us the "3-squeeze" I love you. They backed her sedation off a little and she still seems to be resting peacefully. Her oxygen mix on the respirator is now down to 50% and her oxygen saturation is in the high 90s. We haven't seen the doctors yet, but would hope that is a good sign. Last night they put a different oxygen sensor on her ear (the one on her finger was from Friday and was starting to come off). After they did that the monitor showed her levels to be at 100% which was more in line with that the arterial blood gas was saying; needless to say that made Jill and I feel much better. They placed a feeding tube early this morning so they could begin to give her some nutrition and gain some strenght back. She didn't have much to start with, so I'm sure these calories will be put to good use. We will update later in the day as things progress. Please continue to lift her up in prayer.
Prayer requests for healing, wisdom of the medical team, and strength to see this through.
God Bless!
Devin.
