Day 55 & 56

I know it drives you crazy when I don't post every day. On some of our off days we don't do enough that is worth blogging about. Today Kristen had her appointment with the dermatologist. Of course, as luck would have it, her rash is fading and the welts are gone. The dermatologist felt like the welts sounded like hives in reaction to the Pentabadine. (That's how Kristen and I diagnosed it too.) The other rash she believes is/was graft vs. host. It's fading enough that she didn't want to do another biopsy but has scheduled Kristen to see her in a month for a biopsy if it should return. In the mean time what we thought was acne might have been a reaction that sometimes happens after some kinds of chemo. She was prescribed a topical treatment to help clear this up. Kristen has always had fairly good skin so this whatever on her face was very frustrating.

Yesterday, we didn't do much of anything except meet our friends Barbara and Mallory for lunch. We met up at the the Epicur Cafe. Yum! Of course, Kristen was smart and saved room for dessert.

Tomorrow we have an ATC appointment. We will check in again with our treatment team. We are certainly glad to be down to 2 days a week at the clinic but it does make it more frustrating. The extra days off make us long for home.

Please continue to pray for healing and that we continue to be patient as the 100 day treatment plan gets closer to it's conclusion.
