Kristen spent about 6 hours today at the clinic. She not only got her magnesium but her hemoglobin was low so she received a unit of blood. I got a bit of a break since I dropped Anne and Kristen off at the hospital and then ran back to do a few things around the apartment. I had dropped Steven and Devin off at the airport earlier. I got to the hospital later just in time to visit with them before they pre-medicated Kristen for her blood. We got to see Dr. Popat today for the first time since before Kristen entered the hospital. He and his team let us know that they were going to move Kristen to 3 days a week at the ATC. Yeah! This evening I received the Intermate bottles from home health. She will still need to receive magnesium on the days off, but I will be able to administer them here at the apartment. We are both excited to be getting a break from constantly going to the hospital.
Late this afternoon I took Kristen and Anne to the big Forever 21 store in downtown Houston. It is so large it is really overwhelming. But don't worry we kept our heads and didn't buy everything in site. Tomorrow we have another early morning. It should be much shorter than today.
Above is a picture of Kristen holding one of the drawings she received today. We really do appreciate the cards. They are a highlight to our day.
Please continue to pray for Kristen's healing. Give praise for the fact that we are going to get to ease off on the everyday hospital visits. She still has a bit of a cough that I don't like so please pray that she continue to heal from her flu. Pray that her body continues to strengthen and give thanks for every day and the small improvements each one brings.
