We take so much for granted. Today Kristen and I went to the movies. Going in the middle of the day is good for missing crowds. We just got back a little bit ago and Kristen is already asleep. It took all her energy reserve to bathe, dress, go to the movie and return home. We did our best to keep from having to walk too much. We were doing really good but she did get nauseous and have to go throw up in the middle of the movie. Oh, we went to see "She's Out of My League". It is full of inappropriate stuff so don't take your kids. And I'm ashamed to admit I laughed. My sense of humor is not quite in line with some of my other thinking yet. I'd give it a C- as a movie. Funny enough but a lot like tons of others out there.
Have I mentioned that Kristen talks in her sleep? This morning I was lying in bed thinking about getting up but not ready to open my eyes. I hear her say, "You awake?" I answer with out opening my eyes and she laughs and tells me that she was talking in her sleep. She does this a lot and wakes herself up. She'll also wake herself up reaching for something.
If any of you were worried about us getting out, Kristen has been really good about wearing her mask. She is unwilling to risk getting sick. Her goal is to NOT be in the hospital on her 21st birthday in April. If you remember last year she got sick while we were back home and barely got to come home before her birthday. So last year was the Chemo Kelly cake. What am I going to top that with this year?
