In for a few more days...

Kristen remains in the hospital, she went most of the day yesterday without a fever, but late in the day it went up over 100 again. It's relatively low-grade, but they would like to see it normal for a period of time before releasing her. Today it's been pretty good however while she was receiving platelets this afternoon it was up to 99.8. Her lower back continues to bother her where they did the bone marrow biopsy a week ago. You can feel a little hematoma there below the skin, however the doctors said it didn't appear to be infected or a problem other than the pain. Hopefully it will subside in the coming days. The left side of her neck has also been bothering her for the past couple of days, so they took her over for an ultrasound this afternoon to be certain there isn't something going on. More to come on this later. They did find a gram-positive bacteria in her cultures, so they have continued the antibiotics today.

We did get a nice surprise this afternoon - our good friends the Ritter's were in town to visit Bruce's mother for her birthday. They stopped by for a short visit, it was nice to see familiar faces, and Kristen was glad to see some folks from home.

Please continue the prayers for Kristen, her doctors, and her recovery.

1) Pray for her continued healing and that her fever will subside in the coming days
2) Pray for her doctors wisdom and discernment in determining her treatment plans
3) Pray that she is in remission

Take care,

Devin.
