Day +76

Excellent news today. We will be able to leave Houston on September 11th. We still have several tests that they will need to run plus the biopsy. They were confident that there would not be any problems. Then they said that Kristen could have her CVC line removed...today! We hightailed it down to the 2nd floor and signed right in to get that thing out!. She has had a CVC either in her arm or chest since January. We are so thrilled with our visit today. We can hardly believe it. Kristen will continue to return for follow up visits. The first will be in 4-6 weeks but that's not going to be a problem. In between those visits she will check regularly with her oncologist back home.

Words fail me. I don't know if we will totally absorb this until we are actually in Fayetteville. I mean, have we really climbed that mountain? Have we really passed through the parted waters? God has truly blessed us during this experience. The road was scary but he went before us and will follow behind us. We still have a few more milestones to reach but we go forward with confidence. Please pray for safe travel 1)for Devin and Steven coming down over the holiday weekend to pack up our stuff, 2)for Kristen and I the following weekend as we travel HOME! Pray for Kristen's discernment as she goes about her life and activities. Pray for Devin and I to be able to take that step back from being hovering caregivers. Pray that as a family we quickly make the necessary adjustments after such a long time apart. Finally, pray that we may pour out the blessings we have enjoyed upon others. All glory and honor to God.
