Day +1

Okay, we have all waited to see day +1 in the title right?! Kristen had a really good day today. She ate well, exercised, and did her mouth and lung care. She had energy and was tired of her room and the hospital food. In the afternoon, she and Devin played Bingo in the Pediatric Dome. They had prizes for all the participants. We are able to take in frozen prepared meals to heat up for her. Today she requested pizza and her old stand by macaroni and cheese. They are pumping her full of fluids and she feels like a human coffee machine. The Doc is pleased with her progress so far but they are still expecting some adverse effects from the high powered chemo. Now we wait to see if the stem cells engraft.

Please pray that Kristen remain steadfast. She feels well because of all the precautions they set in place. The medicines she takes to prevent infections and to suppress her immune system so that she doesn't reject the donor cells. Give praise for the time we all have here together.

We are standing strong and know that God is with us every step of the way guiding us.
